Hello Maggie! They're such funny birds Magpies. They tease my dog every day in the back yard and I know they know exactly what they are doing, they are widely considered to be intelligent creatures. During the winter the magpie's diet is largely vegetarian, and in the summer predominately ground invertebrates.
