The most famous sarcophagus ever excavated belonged to King Tutankhamun. Discovered in 1922 by the archaeologist Howard Carter in the Valley of the Kings. King Tut's tomb held a wealth of objects that give us unique insights into the true genius of ancient Egyptian history.
