King Cobra Statue

One of the most imposing (and famous) snakes in the world, the King Cobra certainly lives up to its name. With lengths in excess of 5m and a body diameter of over 12cm, it is the longest venomous species of snake. When threatened, it follows typical cobra behaviour by raising the front part of the body off the ground some 1.2m and expanding the neck hood. A bite from a King Cobra is extremely dangerous because of the huge quantities of venom that are produced. The King Cobra can be found across the Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, the Philippines, as well as the southern areas of East Asia. King Cobras are highly revered in India and Southeast Asia. They are celebrated in various myths and legends, and even depicted in sculptures on temple walls.

Material: Cold Cast Bronze Coated Polyresin
Measurement: 33cm(H) x 32cm(W) x 29cm(D)

Cold cast bronze is when real powdered bronze metal is mixed in with resin. It is then cast into a mould creating a very realistic replica of a solid bronze piece. This process creates a high quality piece with much greater detail than you will see with a solid bronze piece. These pieces are hand painted to bring out beautiful detail.
