These amazing looking Red Milk Snakes are native to Canada and USA and are non venomous. They mate in the spring and deposit an average clutch of seven or eight elliptical-shaped eggs in rotting logs. Milk snakes are mostly nocturnal, especially during summer months. They primarily live on land and attempt to blend in with ground litter but they are able to climb and swim so they can be found in a variety of places. Imagine coming across one of these snakes - they look venomous with these colours - but aren't.
